MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Red Cross says the United States is still in an emergency blood shortage. The University of Louisiana Monroe is trying to help build up the supply in the Monroe-West Monroe community.
January is National Blood Donor Month, and The Red Cross says the number of people donating blood has fallen by about 40 percent, which is the lowest it has been in the past 20 years.
The drive will start at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. You can go to The Hangar Ballroom A on ULM’s campus to donate.
The spring blood drive will continue until Wednesday, January 31st.
