Calling all creatives – the Town of Fraser is seeking local graphic designers for their brand refresh project.
Fraser kicked off the project to “create a new logo for the town and design a brand that reflects Fraser’s current values and who Fraser wants to become in the future,” according to a town news release.
Slate Communications is working with Fraser to build this brand. Town staff, community members and partner organizations will be part of the process. An integral step is including local graphic designers to create the new logo.
Grand County creatives can submit their design to Slate Communications’ website. Designers should submit portfolio work from previous logo design projects to be considered for Fraser’s logo project. The top two local designers selected by Fraser’s Brand Committee will receive a creative brief to guide them in the new design. They will also be compensated $2,500, whether their new logo is chosen or not.
The project began in August, with the goal of having a new logo selected by the end of 2024. The town explained in the news release that the brand refresh will help with their economic development efforts to attract new employers and create a more unique, vitalized community.
“We’re excited to start this project to both solidify professionalism for the town as an organization and to create something that reflects the identity of both who Fraser as a community is today, and who we are aiming to be in the future,” Sarah Wieck, Fraser’s marketing and communications manager stated. “Fraser is a unique and special place. We want our town brand to reflect that.”
