IOWA CITY, Iowa (Iowa's News Now) — Two open houses dedicated to the Terrell Mill Skatepark design will be held on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024 in Iowa City.
These will providing an opportunity for members of the public to share ideas and input for an updated skatepark, including the addition of a pump track.
Participants will be invited to provide feedback on designs and surveys will be provided regarding features that public would like to see in Terrell Mill Park.
Project construction is expected to occur in the summer of 2025.
Plan to attend one of two drop-in open houses from either 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 5 to 6 p.m. in the Procter & Gamble Room at the Mercer Park Aquatic Center, 2701 Bradford Dr.
The morning open house will be apart of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day event happening in the facility at the same time. There will not be a presentation during these open houses; however, project designers will be present to discuss the skatepark and potential options for design.
